Introducing Me!

Greetings and welcome to my blog! I will be a senior this year and I am super excited. I am looking forward to a fun last year of high school. It will be full of lots of academics, dance, and work. I really enjoy Spanish, English, History, and Science. If I had to pick a favorite, I think I would choose English or science. Both contrast each other sharply, but I enjoy different aspects of each. I am partial the hands on aspects of science, whereas in English I like reading the different novels and writing.
During the summer, I like to spend my days boating, babysitting, reading, dancing, and spending days with friends. I am looking forward to this weekend because I will be participating in the color run! I have never done this before and I love to run, so I thought this would be a fun way to spend a day. For those of you who don’t know what a color run is, it is simply what it sounds like. It is a 5K run where volunteers throw color on you and you come out looking like a rainbow.
This coming year, I will continue to be on the dance team, which will keep me very busy this summer. My love of dance started with the classics. I took studio dance for many years, working my way up to Pointe (toe shoes for ballet) and other difficult skills. This year I will be participating in my fourth year of high school dance team and be one of the captains. I am ecstatic that I get to be a captain because it gives me a leadership role on the team. I enjoy helping the new girls who come in and see how they improve from June to January. The change is just remarkable. What I love most about dance team is that we are like a big family. It is such a long season that you make good bonds with your teammates.
If you don’t know me, then you wouldn’t know that I love to travel. I have been to various states, many places in Mexico, and Saint John. I treasured our family trips to Saint John the most because it is a unique island with lots of activities for everyone. All you need to pack is a shirt and shorts, some sandals, and lots of swimsuits!  The color of the water is this pristine turquoise that sparkles in the sun. It is perfect for snorkeling because the water is calm, warm, and clear. Turtles and tropical fish inhabit the area and it’s just a quick swim off the beach. The best sea creature I saw while snorkeling was a nurse shark. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend Saint John to anyone looking for a laid back tropical vacation.
My dream vacation would have to be to travel through Greece on a sailboat. There is a vast amount of history and culture to experience that I would want to travel to various islands to experience it all. I would choose a sailboat because I love being on the water. I have grown up on the water and grown attached to it. It is also such a big part of the culture. It would be a trip I could treasure for years to come.
Well, this is just a little bit about me. I hope you get to learn more in the future. I am looking forward to this next school year with AP Composition!
